When are you done with your “diet?”

Phase 1 is not a diet, it is a lifestyle change.

Questions are constantly being asked such as…

“When will I be done with my diet?”

“6 weeks should be long enough right?”

“I’ll be okay if I do this for a bit then go back to how things were right?”

Let’s take a public example..

Oprah has gone on diets but she is constantly fluctuating weight. WHY?

Consistancy.

Commit to being fit- key word here is commit.

Here at the Training Floor we commit to you but the commitment first comes from you. It’s all about you, but for that to work YOU must want it.

Sam Clermont started Phase 1 recently and here is what she has to share:

What’s the hardest part about phase 1?

I THINK THE HARDEST PART IS YOUR MINDSET, CHANGING YOUR EATING HABITS, LEARNING TO SAY NO TO UNHEALTHY FOODS THAT YOU’VE BEEN EATING FOR SO LONG. LEARNING TO PUT YOUR HEALTH BEFORE FOODS THAT TASTE GOOD (FOR THE MOMENT)
Anything you like about it?

THE THING I LIKE ABOUT IS THAT NOW I HAVE TO TAKE THE TIME TO SHOP FOR FOODS, AND READ WHAT I AM PUTTING INTO MY BODY. BEFORE I WAS JUST EAT FOR THE SAKE OF EATING, AND NOT CARE ABOUT HOW MUCH FAT IT IS. AND IT WAS JUST SO MUCH EASIER TO GO SOMEWHERE AND BUY FOODS JUST SO I DON’T HAVE TO COOK ANYTHING.
How does you being from Haiti affect your thought process or cravings for food?

I THINK ITS PRETTY HARD BEING THAT I’M HAITIAN BECAUSE MY FAMILY LOOOOOVES TO COOK, WE LOVE RICE, AND MACARONI. WE CAN EAT RICE ALL DAY EVERY DAY, NO MATTER THE TIME. AND HAVING TO SEE ALL THAT FOOD AND FOR ME TO HAVE THE WILL POWER TO SAY NO IT’S GOING TO BE TOUGH. AND WITH MY FAMILY THEY LOVE TO FEED YOU, IF THEY DON’T SEE YOU EATING THEN THEY WOULD FEEL OFFENDED.

Are you glad you signed up for it?

YES I AM GLAD I SIGNED UP FOR IT BECAUSE NOW ADAYS YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT YOUR FUTURE AND YOUR HEALTH, ALTHOUGH ITS GOING TO TAKE SOME TIME TO FULLY ADJUST TO THE LIFESTYLE CHANGE THAT I’M MAKING BUT I KNOW IT WILL ALL BE WORTH IT IN THE END.

Any advice to anyone else on it or thinking about phase 1?

I SAY, STICK TO IT IF YOU’RE ON THE DIET, OR IF YOU’RE NOT THEN GIVE IT A TRY YOU REALLY HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE BECAUSE THIS IS FOR YOUR HEALTH AND YOUR WELL-BEING. IN ORDER FOR YOU TO SEE A CHANGE ON THE INSIDE AND OUT YOU HAVE TO EAT HEALTHIER, AND LEARN TO MAKE SOME SACRIFICES.

Keep up the great work Sam!
